Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
**I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
• Under the immediate supervision of the Supervisor, performs all work involved in the picking up, processing, washing, drying, folding and finishing of items that require cleaning, and the delivery of clean laundry and linens.
**II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
• Seeing, hearing, speaking,
• Frequent: walking, reaching, standing for long periods of time, pushes/pulls heavy equipment/supplies with maximum of 50 pounds; lifts/carries maximum of 50 pounds.
• Occasional: stooping, bending, kneeling or crouching.
**III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**
• Exposed to infection and disease bearing specimens; odorous chemicals and specimens; housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals; hot and noisy equipment; heat and wetness; hot and humid work environment.
• Possible exposure to sharp objects (i.e. needles).
• Required Personal Protective Equipment - Eye protection; gown; mask; utility gloves...
