Summary The incumbent serves as a Medical Support Assistant in Ambulatory Care and Processing section of Health Administration Services. S/He works at a two-divisional teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Kentucky (UK) Medical Center at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. Incumbent will work at the Franklin R. Sousley (Leestown Road division). Responsibilities Lead MSAs plan and direct programs at medical centers and/or satellite outpatient clinics and have full supervisory responsibility. Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to: Assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate staff and resolving complex problems to ensure patient services are met Evaluating new products, equipment, and systems in order to make recommendations for improved operations Assuring coverage of all areas of responsibility.
