Job Description
The Lead Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports high‑quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse while serving as a key resource for unit operations. This role models professionalism, assists with workflow coordination, and reinforces established standards of care to ensure safe, efficient service across the lifespan.
+ Serve as a role model and coach, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication.
+ Support unit workflow, including shift‑to‑shift communication, prioritization, and coordination under RN direction.
+ Train, orient, and mentor new and existing Patient Care Technicians, ensuring competency, consistency, and adherence to departmental standards.
+ Support the development of other preceptors and contribute to a positive learning environment within the department.
