DescriptionThe Lead Radiologic Technologist performs and/or assists with all Radiographic examinations and procedures in accordance with Radiology protocols.Renders technical assistance to the Radiologists, as requested.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine radiological procedures.Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform radiological procedures.Applies the necessary technical judgment to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality according to written protocols and the patients’ needs.Provides patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures by informing the patient of the nature of the procedure, the area to be imaged and any specific instructions the patient may need.Assists with technical staff schedules and breaks.Delegates responsibility to staff as appropriate in the absence of a supervisor, or as directed.Assists in orientation and training off new staff, en...
