Job Description
A vacancy for a Space System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Madrid (Getafe). The successful applicant will join the EOS Chief Engineering Department in Spain (TSESS).
Tasks & Accountabilities
- Act as satellite system engineer, leading the design, development and testing of satellite systems with a focus on the platform and its building blocks for a smallsat product line for Earth Observation.
- Derive satellite system specifications from mission requirements, and lower‑level specifications for subsystems and equipment.
- Identify market/business‑driven requirements and translate them into appropriate satellite system and subsystem requirements (e.g., connectivity, on‑board processing capabilities).
- Liaise with the MSC roadmaps and company product strategy to ensure alignment.
