Roles & Responsibilities Role Overview The Lead Welding Engineer is responsible for managing all welding-related engineering, procedures, and quality activities for FPSO projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and class/flag requirements during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all welding engineering activities for FPSO conversion or EPC projects. Develop, review, and approve Welding Procedures (WPS), PQRs, and WPQs. Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, API, DNV, ABS). Interface with Class, Client, Shipyard, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies. Review vendor welding documentation and fabrication procedures. Provide technical support to fabrication yards and offshore teams. Resolve welding-related NCRs, concessions, and technical queries.
