Job Description

Purpose of the Position

The NWU School of Music (Potchefstroom Campus) seeks to appoint one new academic staff member to assume teaching, research, and community engagement responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Teach practical contemporary commercial music (CCM) singing modules that primarily include the genres of musical theatre, pop, and jazz. Musically direct the CCM vocal ensemble. Teach CCM voice pedagogy and other areas of interest. Collaborate and build effective relationships for successful model delivery.

Research Supervision: Provide supervision at the undergraduate, honours and masters level.

Research Entity: Research in any area of the discipline. Contribute to the vision and mission of the MASARA research entity.

Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including serving on committees. Desired Experience & Qualification
