Job Description
Our client, a commodities trading firm is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to support the firm's commodities trading business.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate commodity sale and purchase agreements, ISDA/EFET documentation, trade finance agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Advise trading, operations, risk, and management teams on legal and regulatory matters relating to commodities trading activities.
- Support structured trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, guarantees, and financing arrangements.
- Provide legal guidance on shipping, logistics, storage, and transportation-related matters.
- Manage disputes, claims, arbitrations, and external counsel engagements.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable trading, sanctions, AML, and corporate governance requirements.
