Job Description
The Lightspeed Legal Team is seeking a Legal Counsel in Montreal to partner and collaborate daily with our business teams, preparing and negotiating commercial agreements and providing commercially-minded legal solutions.
What you will be doing
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with customers, strategic partners, and vendors/suppliers across NOAM, EMEA and APAC.
- Delivering legal and general commercial advice to key stakeholders across all Lightspeed departments.
- Documenting legal know-how and delivering training to the wider Legal Team and business stakeholders.
- Identifying and advising on legal risks and compliance issues related to the structuring, development and marketing of new products or features.
- Performing focused legal research and analysis.
- Helping manage legal aspects of complex, cross-functional, multi-jurisdictional projects.
