Job Description
Job Summary: Floating to different divisions within Department of Medicine
+ Screen patients, take vital signs, review medication list, assist clinician with exams, maintain patient flow.
+ Record concise, accurate and complete information regarding patient history, medications, teaching, etc., as per policy.
+ Appropriate and professional telephone interactions under supervision of clinician or Nurse Manager, handle prescription renewals, enter /edit labs, maintain communication between clinician and patient. Provide written patient education material. Maintain exam rooms, stock rooms with supplies, clean instruments, and inventory.
+ aintenance of medical charts, flow sheets, forms and processing of insurance forms. Scanning and abstraction. Provide backup / coverage to other office staff as needed
+ Perform other related duties, as assigned
+ Complete and maintain EPIC training and proficiency at all relevant nursing courses
