Duties Description St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center has immediate job opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.
Licensed Practical Nurses are vital members of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing companionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness. LPNs at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, under the direction of a Registered Nurse are:
• Performing nursing care tasks consistent with individual treatment plans
• Administering medication
• Attending to individuals’ personal care needs including daily living and hygiene tasks
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Licensed Practical Nurse if they have:
