Practice is guided by CLPNA, Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC), and CSA Standards of Practice, with a strong emphasis on hands-on skill, accountability, and evidence-based care. In a rural environment, the LPN/ORT plays an essential role supporting patients before, during, and after surgery and contributing to a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration.
