Job Duties
Flexible staffing arrangement for Licensed Practical Nurses seeking additional hours, no more than an average of 29 hours per week.
LPNs provide evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles,
practices and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support to patients and employees as needed. Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff while providing input and feedback to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan. Records all pertinent information into the medical record. Interacts with other departments as needed. Promotes continued competence through education/certification with a focus on correctional nursing.
