Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN/Night Shift): Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women
This is a night shift position
Licensed Practical Nurses provide evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles, practices and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support to patients and employees as needed. Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff while providing input and feedback to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan. Records all pertinent information into the medical record. Interacts with other departments as needed. Promotes continued competence through education/certification with a focus on correctional nursing.
