Summary This position is located at the York County VA Community Clinic (VACC) in York, PA. Responsibilities Under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse (RN), the licensed practical nurse (LPN) functions as a member of the nursing team and assists the RN in the care of patients in acute, subacute, or chronic states of illness. The York LPN is responsible for the evidence-based care of a group of patients as follows: Supports diagnostic procedures - Performing support duties for complex diagnostic tests and specialized practices or procedures. Prepare patient, assist with diagnostic examinations, prepare specimens, prepare and passing instruments, monitor the patient's condition before, during, and after the procedure, and perform phlebotomy. Assists with technical nursing treatments - Nurses must master equipment used to stabilize and monitor patients, including EKG machines, oxygen tanks, nasal cannula tubing, blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter, ear flushes, administer a va...
