Role: Linux Administrator – VMware Specialist
JD Key Responsibilities- Install configure and administer Unix Linux servers primarily RHEL in production and nonproduction environments
- Manage and support VMware vSphere infrastructure including ESXi hosts vCenter Server clusters resource pools and virtual networking
- Perform system monitoring performance tuning and capacity planning for Unix Linux and VMware platforms
- Implement and maintain security hardening patching and compliance standards CIS STIG internal controls
- Troubleshoot complex hardware OS virtualization networking and storage issues including application to database connectivity problems
- Manage file systems storage allocations disk partitioning LVM configurations volume expansions and mountpoint restructuring
- Automate operational tasks using Bash Python Perl or configuration management tools Ansible preferred
