Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to lawyers within the litigation group
- Draft, format, and revise legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and court materials
- Coordinate service and filing of court documents through Ontario courts and e-filing systems
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical files
- Manage calendars, including scheduling meetings, discoveries, and court dates
- Track limitation periods and ensure key deadlines are met
- Prepare document briefs, motion materials, and assist with trial preparation
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
- Handle general administrative tasks including scanning, filing, and document management
