Overview
PTG Logistics is seeking a hands‑on On‑Site Transportation Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations for a dedicated fleet of 15 drivers in Stanley, VA. This role combines driver management, load planning, customer service, and backhaul development to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Driver Leadership & Retention
- Develop and maintain a high‑performing driver team through daily engagement, coaching, and accountability
- Ensure driver satisfaction by managing mileage expectations, accurate payroll, and timely issue resolution
- Document performance, including coaching, attendance, service, and recognition
Planning & Dispatch
- Match drivers with loads while managing schedules, special instructions, and service commitments
