Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in secure operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
