Job Description
Exciting Opportunity: Long-term Special Education paraprofessionals to work Monday through Friday at **Florence City Schools** for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Para positions will continue to be filled in the months of June and July.
**Requirements:**
48 college credit hours earned, or completion of Work Keys tests for self-contained position.
Substitute License
Age requirement: 18
**Responsibilities:**
Dependent upon assignment, but always under direct supervision of District/School employees, this role may be working directly in one of the following:
+ A special education classroom
+ A general education classroom or environment
+ One-on-one with a student or small group of students
A paraprofessional provides classroom assistance to students with disabilities and to the assigned District/School teacher, who has ultimate responsibility for designing and implementing educational programs, activities and services.
