Job Description
LPEA Engineer - Leather Wrapping What you’ll do:
- Act as the Local Process Equipment Authority (LPEA – Leather Wrapping) , leading steering wheel assembly processes with a strong focus on leather treatment, cutting, and wrapping, ensuring compliance with global manufacturing standards and driving the 1 Product / 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
- Lead end-to-end leather process development, from material selection and leather grading/quality (gild) through preparation, cutting, and final wrapping, supporting new product launches (NPS), quotations, and process validation.
- Drive continuous improvement in leather manufacturing processes, including pattern design, process definition, and implementation of best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce scrap, and ensure high‑quality finishing in leather‑wrapped components.
