Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
This contract position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN) in a medical surgical unit. The unit accommodates 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. The staff comprises day and night shift personnel, including charge nurses, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters when needed. Typical procedures performed include breathing treatments, chronic wound care, and patient management for various medical conditions. Candidates with preferred skills such as ACLS, IV skills, and experience in ortho and kidney transplant care will be considered first. The ideal candidate should be adaptable to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and demonstrate culturally competent diverse care and teamwork. Dress code requirements for the unit include specific scrub colors for registered nurses and patient care technicians.
