Machine Operator: Welding at our Durban branch.
Role Summary
Welding, fabrication, cutting, measuring and maintenance of PERI steel components.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures and understand the final product.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws or structural imperfections.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Make clean lines and cuts when welding, paying attention to the job at hand.
- Keep tools and equipment in good repair and be responsible.
- Carry out PERI company health & safety procedures at all times.
