Job Description
- Machinist required with experience in Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) and Milling Machine operations
- Work involves machining of heavy components for marine, dredging, and industrial equipment
- Preference for candidates with background in drydocks, oil & gas, dredging, or marine industry
Responsibilities
- Operate Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) for turning, facing, and boring operations
- Perform machining using milling tool post on the VTL
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Machine components as per required dimensions and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer (inside/outside)
- Dial indicator
- Bore gauge
- Height gauge
- Conduct in-process and final inspection...
