Job Description
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Port Elizabeth team, Perform routine inspection on production equipment Perform basic routine preventative maintenance functions Assist with general maintenance and repair of machinery Assist with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs Tooling maintenance, including cleaning, storage and minor repairs Assist with maintenance, repairs and upkeep of equipment, infrastructure and vehicles Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Maintain a clean and safe work environment Escalate machine, equipment and other technical failures Requirements Grade 12 N3 N6 qualification preferred Minimum 1 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment Exposure to manufacturing processes Mechanical and electrical experience Welding and fabrication skills (qualified welder preferred) Knowledge of and ability to use power tools Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protoco...
