Job Description

Maintenance Engineer in Training, Underground (DET00526)

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Maintenance Engineer and be part of the Underground Maintenance Department.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance team and project/engineering teams during mine development and construction phases.
  • Provide maintenance input into the design and selection of all underground mobile equipment and fixed infrastructure.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning and testing, ensuring maintainability and operational readiness per the Ontario Mine Act and Regulations.
  • Determine the optimal mobile equipment fleet composition for current development and future production phases.
  • Work with the Planning team to provide detailed maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements for the mobile fleet (e.g., jumbos, LHDs, trucks, utility vehicles).
