Maintenance Fitter / Technician
Location: Southampton
Salary: £45,000+ DOE
Hours: 43.75 hours per week - 07:45 – 17:00 - Monday to Friday
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a busy operation where you will play a key role in ensuring maximum uptime of plant and machinery through proactive and reactive maintenance.
The Role As a Maintenance Fitter / Technician, you will be responsible for keeping heavy plant and processing equipment in optimum operational condition. Machinery includes:
Heavy mobile plant
Excavators
Wheel loaders
Balers
Other specialist recycling equipmentKey Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve breakdown issues efficiently
Respond rapidly to minimise equipment downtime
Maintain all machinery to a high operational standard in line with company procedures
Comply with all machine operating systems and safety protocols
Keep accurate records of machinery on site
