The Springfield Housing Authority, consistent with its equal opportunity and affirmative action policies, invites applicants for the Mechanic III position. Rate: $33.07 per hour, 40 hours/ week, M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Excellent benefits package. Applications must be received by April 30th, 2026.
Mechanic I
Responsibilities: Performs skilled building and equipment maintenance and construction tasks. Work involves a combination of skills in repairing such items as plumbing, heating, electrical and carpentry related. Mandatory snow removal and other on-call duties.
Essential Functions: Repairs or replaces building fixtures and parts such as doors, windows, locks, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, etc. Maintains and repairs heating and hot water systems, including controls and ancillary equipment.
