Job Description
We are seeking **_Maintenance Mechanics_** for JHU Utilities Operations.
Performs a wide range of general maintenance jobs (including high voltage motors) which may include specialized or difficult jobs. Repairs, maintains, and inspects machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. Works on plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning and heating systems. Performs painting and carpentry jobs.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Repairs, adjusts or replaces structural parts of buildings, office and laboratory furniture/apparatus such as doors, windows, partitions, ceilings, floors, roofs, animal cages, cabinets including door checks, locking devices, and hinges.
+ Performs plumbing jobs such as adjustment and repair of pipes and plumbing fixtures, valves, floats, drains, grease traps, sump pumps, watering systems, air-conditioning units, freezers, refrigerators, hot water heaters, HVAC units, heat pumps, fan coil units, induction units, terminal re...
