Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for the availability and reliability of all mechanical plant on site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and executing scheduled and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Fabrication and welding work (Arc, MIG, TIG) including assembly of high‑specification production equipment
- Using workshop equipment including lathe, mill and press
- Fault‑finding and root cause analysis to minimise breakdowns and extend plant life
- Managing mechanical spare parts inventory and equipment refurbishment
- Supporting plant shutdowns and machinery isolation
- Assisting in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and training of operations teams
- Maintaining housekeeping standards and 5S practices
- Contributing to health and safety, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
