Job Purpose
Supervise the operations on the assigned rig to ensure safe, environmentally friendly and timely completion of assigned drilling, work-over, maintenance and repair programs.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
- Supervise drilling, work-over and/or completion activities on assigned rig and meeting the schedules. Ensure that drilling/completion programs are adhered to at each step of the operation.
- Plan, review and direct the receipt of materials and spares required for ongoing and contingent drilling operations on assigned rig.
- Exercise general supervision over all maintenance activities on assigned rig to ensure that all drilling equipment is in good working conditions and directs preventive and/or breakdown maintenance/repairs.
- Oversee shutdown maintenance to ensure that appropriate safety measures are taken and rig down time is confined to minimum levels.
