Job Description
The Shipbuilding & Repair Operations Manager oversees and manages daily activities related to the construction, repair, and conversion of ships, tankers, and offshore marine structures. The role ensures that operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international marine standards and classification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage shipbuilding, repair, and conversion projects from planning to completion.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, welding, mechanical, piping, electrical, and marine safety departments.
Review project specifications, drawings, technical requirements, and client expectations.
Supervise dry-docking operations, hull repairs, tank cleaning, blasting and painting works, and structural modifications.
Ensure adherence to IMO, SOLAS, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and other marine classification standards.
