[What the role is]
Introduction to Asia Pacific Sustainable Aviation Centre (APSAC)Asia Pacific Sustainable Aviation Centre (APSAC) was set up by the CAAS as a Singapore-based regional centre with the mission to support Asia Pacific (APAC) countries to advance sustainable aviation through policy research, collaboration and capacity-building.
APSAC will:
(i) Undertake policy research in areas such as cleaner aviation fuels, carbon accounting, and carbon market development & green financing.
(ii) Facilitate collaboration across governments, industry and academia for joint studies and projects to harmonise and advance sustainable aviation policies and plans for APAC.
(iii) Provide capability-building through technical assistance and training in areas of sustainable aviation policy development and implementation
