Job Description
As a Materials Specialist you will primarily work in a metallurgical laboratory and mechanical testing facility. You will also undertake desk-based assessments of equipment, use the findings to solve client problems, and guide them toward better equipment management.
Inventory Optimization & Strategy- Lead initiatives to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high service levels across regions.
- Analyze inventory trends (DSOH turns aging) and develop actionable plans to improve performance.
- Drive reduction of slow-moving and excess inventory through structured programs.
- Monitor safety stock levels and aging inventory, working with regions and manufacturing plants to address them.
- Provide updates to inventory projections and create mitigation plans as needed.
