Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Associate Head of Maritime Simulator and the Director of Maritime Training as required to fulfil the Academy’s strategic priorities.
- Teach a range of engineering courses within a marine simulation environment relating to STCW III/I V, and VI requirements as well bespoke courses.
- Use appropriate, innovative and effective pedagogic approach in the teaching environment. Deliver lectures and lead seminar groups as appropriate.
- Participate in the examination/ assessment process including the setting of papers, preparing marking schemes, agreeing marks with other staff. Use appropriate and innovative forms of assessment practices to enhance learning and teaching.
- Actively develop and deliver a range of new courses in line with industry changes or industry requirements. Responsible for updating own discipline knowledge to develop research informed teaching.
