Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Policy, and the responsibilities under the Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Report any environmental noncompliance and/or concern to their manager or members of the senior management team (including the highest level of management) either directly or through the open reporting system as per Management System guidelines
- Provide support and advice to the assigned vessels on all marine related aspects such as, but not limited to:
- Navigational best practices
- Weather and voyage routing advice
- Cargo management, cargo planning and conflict resolution
- Input into and guidance to the vessel’s Masters on Dangerous Goods Risk Assessments
- Pertinent information relating to new trade route for assigned vessels
