The role is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the supply of spare parts, equipment, and services required for vessel maintenance and operations. The role involves coordination with vessel managers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source and procure spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
2. Order Processing & Coordination
- Process purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management.
- Ensure accurate and timely placement, tracking, and follow-up of purchase orders.
