Master

Overall Command of the ship, safety, security, cargo and environmental protection while operating in Singapore waters and international waters. Implementation of the Company’s Policies as contained in the VMS and other official Company Instructions on all matters of operations, safety, security and environmental protection.

The Master has the overriding authority and responsibility to make decisions with respect to safety of the ship, crew, passengers, and pollution prevention, and may request the Company’s assistance as necessary. The procedures within the VMS do not undermine this authority. In cases of conflict between the VMS and national or international regulations, the Master shall carry out duties in accordance with the applicable regulations and report any non‑conformity immediately to the HSEQ Superintendent.
