Job Summary
The Material Engineer is responsible for overseeing the selection, testing, and quality control of construction materials used in road and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all materials comply with project specifications, international standards, and local authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve material submittals in line with project specifications
- Conduct and supervise laboratory and field testing of materials (soil, asphalt, concrete, aggregates)
- Ensure compliance with UAE standards (DM, RTA, AASHTO, ASTM)
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors on material-related issues
- Monitor asphalt mix designs, trial mixes, and production processes
