We are seeking a Materials Lab Engineer (Generalist) to support the development and reliability of next-generation AR/VR devices. This role is hands-on and lab-focused, with an emphasis on materials characterization, coatings, and materials reliability/durability. The ideal candidate has broad materials knowledge, strong laboratory skills, and experience working with polymers, plastics, and metals in a product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform materials characterization and failure analysis to support AR/VR hardware development
- Support the development, testing, and evaluation of coatings for performance, durability, and reliability
- Conduct materials reliability and durability assessments, including environmental and stress testing
- Prepare and analyze samples using chemical cross-sectioning techniques
