M&E Operative

Location: Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm
Salary: Up to £30, (dependent on skills and experience)


Role Overview


We are inviting internal candidates to apply for the position of M&E Operative at Broomfield Hospital. This role involves delivering planned, reactive, and proactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, alongside building fabric repairs, all in line with the sites PPM schedule. You will apply your trade skills to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery as part of the Hard FM team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake scheduled maintenance, reactive repairs, and new installations using appropriate trade skills

  • Maintain qualifications and training to meet safe working practices and take on Competent Person duties
