The Pre-Owned Mechanic/ Turf Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and preparing used commercial mowing and turf equipment for resale. This role ensures all pre-owned units meet company quality, safety, and performance standards before delivery to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections and evaluations of pre-owned equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues accurately
- Complete repairs and refurbishments including:
- Engine and driveline service
- Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs
- Electrical system diagnostics
- Deck and cutting system repairs
- Completion of required safety checks
- Document condition reports and repair recommendations for each unit
- Work closely with manager to prioritize units for resale
