Job Description
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for bespoke machinery, we’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering team.
This is a hands‑on role focused on the design and development of special‑purpose machinery , working closely with internal teams from concept through to build and delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing new machines, retrofits, and upgrades
- Creating 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Producing sales layout drawings (SolidWorks / AutoCAD)
- Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Creating 2D drawings (assembly, part, fabrication)
- Producing machine manuals and technical documentation
- Supporting the shop floor during machine builds
- Liaising with design and engineering teams to optimise designs
