Job Purpose
To work within the Mechanical Engineering team as part of Design Engineering (DE) at AMETEK LAND’s head office in Dronfield. The role focuses on the design of mechanical assemblies for new and existing products, primarily using Autodesk Inventor Professional. The products contribute to LAND’s portfolio of non-contact infrared temperature measurement systems used in demanding industrial environments. The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from early concept and prototyping through to design, supplier engagement, production setup, and release. Design solutions must be innovative, manufacturable, scalable, and serviceable, enabling complex electro‑optical‑mechanical assemblies to operate reliably in extreme temperature and hazardous environments.
