Job Description
As an integral member of our mechanical department, your main role will be the preparation of mechanical designs, including the layout, modeling, and development of general arrangements and details for conveyors and associated heavy industrial structures, equipment, piping, ducting, and supports. Travel to job sites on a short-term basis for field measurements, condition inspections, or construction management may be required.
Mechanical/Piping/Materials Handling Designers
- Formal education in design and drafting.
- Design and drafting experience relevant to design of process plants, marine terminals, wood processing plants, mines, and other industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Inventor, Navisworks, Revit or other similar software packages would also be an asset.
