The purpose of this position is to serve as a professional engineer facilitating a team of engineers/architects from a variety of disciplines and technical staff on a large and complex design and construction projects. This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the grade of Mechanical Engineer GS-0830(21)-12 or Electrical Engineer, GS-0850(21)-12. Responsibilities For GS-11 & 12 Utilizes a professional knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical engineering to work large and complex design and construction projects, and to manage an installation Energy Program mandated to reduce overall energy consumption for existing facilities and utility systems, as well as new construction, and/or renovation/improvement projects.
