Mechanical Engineer

Site: Kamloops, BC
Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,140
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will be involved with projects, maintenance, and reliability assignments.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing and executing mill capital and major maintenance projects
- Working closely with Area Manufacturing Superintendents, Maintenance Supervisors and Process Engineers to implement mill design changes and improvements
- Analyzing and engineering-out repetitive mechanical problems
- Preparing and coordinating maintenance shutdowns
- Supervising the activities of contractors to ensure compliance with all company policies, governmental regulations, and facility operating and housekeeping standards
