Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical engineering discipline on major nuclear projects from concept through execution
- Act as the primary mechanical interface with OPG and key project stakeholders
- Oversee and review engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, BOMs, piping layouts, stress analyses, and HVAC designs
- Ensure full compliance with Canadian nuclear codes and CNSC regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and designers
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery
- Review and approve vendor documentation and technical submittals
- Drive fit‑for‑purpose, compliant, and cost‑effective engineering solutions
