TITLE: Mechanical Staff Engineer
DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc. seeks a Mechanical Staff Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Ave, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.
Mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Onboard Charger and DC/DC Converter systems. Design mechanical components in compliance with the BorgWarner Lessons Learned and Best Practices. Design product and components to meet customer specifications. Design connectors and bus bars for power electronics including PCB interconnects. Design liquid cooling heat sink for power electronics. Perform mechanical analysis and verification for vibration, thermal shock, IPK ratings, thermal performance, GD&T tolerance stack up, and DFME...
