Job Description
Northwest Florida Community Hospital Clinics is looking a full-time medical assistant.
Perform direct care for patients of all ages in the clinic to include, but not limited to, assessing vital functions, assisting physicians and advanced practitioners by performing venipuncture and basic lab tests, administering medications, maintaining controlled medications in secure areas, maintains sample drugs. Performs administrative duties as required to include coding and billing, transcription, and front office functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF COMPETENT PERFORMANCE FOR THIS POSITION :
Administrative Duties:
+ Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
+ Meet and greet patients and visitors.
+ Schedule patients accordingly.
+ Proficient use in EMR
+ Maintains an accurate clinic electronic calendar
+ Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office
+ Insurance authoriza...
